We are Unique!
At Creative Journeys Preschool, we believe that children deserve a unique learning experience that combines the best of urban nature with the Reggio Emilia inspired approach. We intentionally keep our student ratios low to ensure that each child gets the attention and guidance they need to reach their full potential.
Our
Philosophy
Early childhood is much more than education. We pride ourselves in providing children with an all encompassing learning experience by nurturing their bodies and spirits just as much as we nurture their minds..
Clean Environment
Our commitment to the health and safety of our students includes sanitizing and disinfecting the classroom and toys several times daily, making sure that each day the children are using safe and clean materials.
Educational Approach
Our In-Home program is based on a connection between children's ideas and the teachers' intention. From projections to provocations, the identity of the child in the classroom is clear in all we do. We connect children's experiences with the California Preschool Learning Foundation standards and the DRDP. We believe that the best learning comes from PLAY!
Our
Environment
As a small in-home program we understand the importance of light, color, and space in an early learning environment. Our indoor and outdoor spaces, and neighborhood urban nature help to touch hearts, build minds.
Low
Ratio
Our small class size and intentionally low teacher-to-student ratio allows us to give our students the individual attention they deserve. Our holistic, play-based approach to education encourages children to explore and discover the world around them through creative, hands-on learning. We believe every child is capable of reaching their highest potential.
Professional
Educator
At Creative Journeys Preschool, our team is led by Ms. Karen, who has amassed an impressive 3.5 decades of experience in early childhood education. She is highly knowledgeable in early learning techniques and passionately encourages children to explore, grow, and discover. Ms. Karen's nurturing approach also fosters a natural love for nature and a lifelong thirst for learning.
Daily Communication
We value the importance of strong home and school communication. We share daily stories through IG & FB to document children's progress and share it with families.
Daily
Nutrition
The nutrition and nourishment of your child are one of our top priorities. CJP provides organic, healthy meals and snacks which are prepared on-site daily.

If your child has any special dietary restrictions, please contact us so we can cater to their needs.
Hassle Free
Peace of Mind
CJP believes that part of developing relationships with families is to help ease their mornings by providing healthy, organic meals, and snacks, clean water bottles and clean bedding for each child daily. So that each family can focus on spending time with their children.
Urban
Nature
We use the local neighborhood as our play ground during the school day. These trips are related to the unit of study that the school is exploring along with daily outside exploration. This is a wonderful way to expose children to local resources and relationships between curriculum and community.
Kindergarten
Readiness
We value the art of play: Creative Journeys understands that children discover their world, master problem-solving, and develop both perseverance and resilience through play. Our unique approach and environment will help your child to:
-

S.T.E.A.M.
Creative Journeys builds on children's natural curiosity by developing their interests in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

We use daily routines to build on skills and concepts through conversation, reading and researching, singing, playing, or using other forms of communication.

We encourage young children to document their observations by drawing, painting, or recording their voices while describing what they are noticing, creating or building.
